Why inspect before you buy
A home is the biggest purchase most people make, and a showing only tells you how it looks. An inspection is the one time a trained, independent eye checks the whole house, top to bottom, working for you, not the seller.
-
01
Find problems before you sign
Roof leaks, foundation movement, wiring faults and hidden water damage are expensive to fix and easy to miss on a walk-through.
-
02
Negotiate with facts
A documented defect is leverage. Ask for repairs, a credit or a lower price, or walk away while you still can.
-
03
Budget for what’s coming
Know the age and condition of the roof, furnace, AC and water heater, so a big replacement doesn’t surprise you in year one.
-
04
Move in safe
Missing GFCI outlets, smoke and CO alarms, gas leaks and radon are safety issues, not just repairs. We flag them first.
